Patient "Schultze" – 54 years old – low skull base
PHACON Sinus patient "Schultze" is based on CT data and offers a realistic simulation of surgery, as it consists of very detailed anatomical structures and landmarks, such as the uncinate process or the ethmoid bulla. A notable anatomical feature of this patient is the low position of the skull base. The simulation can be enhanced by automatic detection of injuries on the model in the corresponding navigation system. The sinus trainer offers a combination of an artificial sample and virtual assistance with the original CT data of the patient.
