The dressing simulator "Surgical Sally" is a ready patient with 14 surgical wounds, including a mid-sternal split with two simulated drains, a sacral pressure ulcer - stage 2, and a stump from a leg amputation.
The skin has also been altered to be drier, allowing dressings to adhere better. Surgical staples are used to close wounds for median sternotomy, thoracotomy, nephrectomy, laparotomy, abdominal hysterectomy, and amputation stumps. Staples and sutures are not removed.
It is ideal for training in wound treatment skills, dressing changes, and bandaging techniques. Students can conveniently practice wound treatment techniques, cleaning, and dressing changes.
Surgical Sally is a female replica and measures 29 inches L x 17 inches W x 8 inches D. Special vinyl compounds have been used to create a maximally realistic look and feel.
The flexible skin in flesh color realistically responds to adhesive and all types of dressings. It comes with a hard carrying case.
