Realistic appearance and feel
NENASim Preemie accurately reproduces the delicate fragility of a premature infant through its realistic appearance, feel, size, weight, and proportions. Realistic eyes and eyelids add a convincing sense of caring for a premature baby.
Intravenous access points
There are several intravenous access points for training. Two wet catheters can be placed on the superficial temporal veins on the scalp. After that, fluid can be infused.
Realistic airways
The airways include the tongue, vocal cords, trachea, and esophagus. The premature infant can be intubated orally and nasally. Ventilation causes the chest to rise. Incorrect intubation and ventilation lead to abdominal distension.
Training for handling premature infants
Preemie allows medical teams to work together in caring for a premature baby. By assigning participants different roles in predefined scenarios, medical skills and teamwork are tested and refined.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation training
Can be used for practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
