ALTMS by Remed is a device that has received FDA certification in the USA and European CE and is used in over 600 major hospitals and clinics in Korea (market share — 90%) and is the only domestic product that is exported to over 30 countries worldwide, including the USA, Japan, and Europe.
According to various studies:
- Effectiveness: approximately 67.7% of patients respond to TMS therapy, and 45.1% achieve remission of symptoms after treatment (Frontiers).
- Clinical assessments: in one study among veterans who received TMS for 6 weeks, scores on the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and PTSD Checklist (PCL) significantly decreased at 15, 30, and 45 days after the start of treatment. The reduction in BDI was by 10 or more points in 44% of patients, and the reduction in PCL by 10 or more points in 38% of patients (Frontiers) (BioMed Central).
- Meta-analysis: the meta-analysis showed an overall effect size of d = 1.17 for TMS in the treatment of PTSD, with high-frequency TMS showing greater effectiveness (d = 1.44) compared to low-frequency (d = 0.72) (Frontiers).
