Obstetrical Manikin** — is an anatomically accurate model of the pelvis with a full-term newborn and placenta, allowing trainees to practice various techniques and study the procedure of emergency childbirth in realistic conditions.
The lifelike pelvic cavity includes pronounced anatomical landmarks: spinal column, inclined birth canal, ilium, ischium, sacrum, sacrospinous ligaments, and greater sciatic notch.
The model allows demonstrating the following clinical situations:
- Shoulder dystocia
- Fetal position
- Presentation level (fetal station)
- Fetal lie
- Cord prolapse
- Combined presentation
- Locations of incisions during cesarean section (discussed)
The included fetus has a realistic size of a newborn with fontanelles and cranial sutures.
The manikin is available in light (Caucasian) or dark (African-American) skin tones. A soft carrying bag is included.
