The training set for episiotomy and perineal tears** provides students with the opportunity to master the techniques for repairing the most common childbirth injuries.
Students and instructors can independently perform an incision in a soft, realistic overlay, creating a classic episiotomy or almost any type of tear from first to fourth degree.
Hidden structures representing the bulbocavernosus muscle, the transverse perineal muscle, and the external anal sphincter are embedded within the tissue thickness. These muscles can be separately incised and sutured just like in a real patient. The simulated tissue remains strong and elastic even after many training sessions.
Realistic tactile sensations contribute to the development of skills in instrument handling, proper suture tension, and various knot-tying techniques. The fully adjustable stand holds the overlay with the base at any angle.
The set includes:
- Soft overlay with molded base
- Adjustable stand
- Dissection tools in a case
- One suture with a curved needle
- Soft carrying case
Replacement overlays are available. It is recommended to make only one incision through the muscle area of each overlay.
