Material: transparent solid material
Data source: digital model of the human body
The lung segments model is a disassemblable combined model made of transparent wrapping material, which includes structures such as the bronchial tree, pulmonary artery, pulmonary vein, and lung shape. The pulmonary artery is depicted in blue, the pulmonary vein in red, the bronchi of each lung segment are marked with multicolored materials, and the surface of the lung and its filling are made of transparent wrapping material. The segmentation of the lung is performed according to 8 segments of the left lung and 10 segments of the right lung to create a disassemblable and combined model of lung segments.
Data sources
Data sources: the data were selected from high-precision digital anatomical images, including original tomographic data, refined segmentation, and 3D geometric models of organ structures such as bones, muscles, blood vessels, nerves, ligaments, and other anatomical structures. The voxel size in this dataset example is 0.0384 mm * 0.0384 mm * 0.1 mm. Also, formalin-fixed body specimens were selected as a basis for 3D printing for comparison and validation of the model.
Modeling: the surface voxels of each anatomical structure were extracted from the original tomographic dataset to create texture maps of the geometric model, ensuring that the appearance of the geometric model of each anatomical structure has the same visual look as the actual anatomical specimen of hardening.
