Digihuman 3D Printing Model-Skull Cup

Digihuman 3D Printing Model-Skull Cup

Creation of a multi-structured 3D digital anatomical model based on high-precision digitized data of the human body. A full-color, multi-material 3D printer and printing with eco-friendly resin provide a 1:1 high simulation of physical anatomical models.

Material: Rigid material

Data source: Digital model of the human body

The skull cap model is the horizontally sliced upper part of the skull, which is part of the same series as the base of the skull and lower jaw models. Its primary purpose is to demonstrate the anatomical structure of the upper part of the skull, including the coronal suture, sagittal suture, lambdoid suture, groove for the meningeal artery, impressions of arachnoid granulations, the plate barrier, etc. The skull model visually and tactilely corresponds to real bone specimens and is an excellent alternative to actual skull specimens.

Data sources

Data source: selected data from high-precision digital anatomical images, including original serial sections, advanced segmentation, and three-dimensional geometric models of organ structures, including anatomical structures such as bones, muscles, blood vessels, nerves, and ligaments. The voxel size of this dataset is 0.0384 mm * 0.0384 mm * 0.1 mm. Simultaneously, samples of human bodies fixed in formalin are used for comparison and verification.

Model creation: voxels in the volumetric data on the surface of each anatomical structure are extracted from the original set of serial sections, and a texture map of the geometric model is generated to ensure that the appearance of the geometric model of each anatomical structure corresponds to the real anatomical specimen.
