1. Preparation for work and attachment
Adjusting to fit: Before first use, adjust the hoop to the size of your head using the regulators. Fixation should occur at two points (forehead and nape).
Comfort: Ensure that the hoop fits snugly but does not press on the temples and head. With a weight of 104 g, the device should not cause discomfort.
2. Turning on and off (Two methods)
Automatically by moving the optical block: This is the main and most convenient method. To turn on the light, simply lower the optical block (the LEDs) down into the working position in front of your eyes. As soon as you lift the block up, the light automatically turns off.
Mechanical button/switch: On the device's body (in the battery compartment area at the back) there is a physical on/off button. It completely powers down the device or activates it.
3. Working with batteries and charging
Timely replacement: The set includes 2 batteries. Always keep one battery on the charger while working with the other.
Proper installation: Replace the battery with a gentle push until it clicks. Do not apply excessive force.
Protection against complete discharge: Try not to leave batteries fully discharged for extended periods to preserve their capacity (full charging time is about 90 minutes).
4. Using filters and additional lenses
Changing the light spectrum: If you need warmer or cooler light, install the appropriate color filter from the set onto the LED blocks.
Attaching optics/camera: Binocular magnifiers (e.g., DKT-3 or DKT-4) or the DK-CAM video camera are attached to special grooves on the optical block with a single motion for fixation. Before starting work, check the reliability of their attachment.
5. Cleaning and disinfection
⚠️ Important: The device has electronic components, so it cannot be submerged in water or sterilized in an autoclave.
Cleaning the body: Wipe the plastic parts of the hoop and optical block with a soft cloth slightly moistened with a disinfectant solution (without aggressive acids or large amounts of alcohol that may damage the plastic).
Protective elements: Use the clear protective caps for the LEDs that come with the set. They protect the lenses from dust, splashes of water, or biological materials. If necessary, they can be removed and cleaned separately.
6. Storage and transportation
After the workday, lift the optical block up (turn off the device) and remove the battery.
Store the headlight and additional accessories in the branded transport case to protect against falls, moisture, and direct sunlight.
- Exceptional brightness: smooth adjustment of light output up to 100,000 lux ensures clear visibility of the surgical field.
- Shadowless technology: two light sources are positioned to minimize shadows from instruments or the surgeon's hands.
- Autonomy: up to 12 hours of continuous operation on a single charge (depending on the selected intensity).
- Lightweight: the device weighs only 154 grams, which is almost unnoticeable during work.
- Versatility: the set includes 3 interchangeable filters to adjust the light temperature to your needs.
