Benefits for Clinical Practice
  • Versatility of modes: 12 different monopolar and bipolar energy configurations allow the device to be adapted for a wide range of surgical tasks.
  • Specialized settings: Availability of dedicated modes for laparoscopic and delicate procedures.
  • Surgical precision: Provides maximum precise and predictable impact on tissues.
  • Automatic adaptation: Bovie FDFS™ technology (Tissue Sensing Technology) automatically recognizes the type of tissue, adjusting energy delivery for optimal cutting or coagulation.
TWO CUTTING MODES - CUT I and CUT II
Two cutting modes give the surgeon flexibility to cut all types of tissues without loss of performance. Cut I generates a constant output power across a wide range of impedances. Cut II is a softer mode that generates constant output power at a lower voltage across a small range of impedances, recommended for laparoscopic procedures.
    FOUR LEVELS OF BLEND MODE
The Blend mode is a combination of cutting and hemostasis. The IDS-210 gives the surgeon the freedom to choose the desired level of hemostasis. Level 1 setting is minimal blending with maximum cutting effect. Level 4 setting is maximum hemostasis (blend) with minimal cutting effect. This setting is easily achieved with a stepwise 4-level adjustment. The Blend mode enhances the speed of targeted tissue drying without increasing the power delivered by the generator.
THREE COAGULATION MODES - POINT, SPRAY, and SOFT COAGULATION
Point coagulation provides precise control of bleeding in localized areas. - Spray provides better control of bleeding in highly vascular tissue over wide surface areas. - Soft coagulation provides more intense coagulation than other modes. For example, when coagulation is needed in a short time frame, reduced electrode carbonization is provided.
THREE BIPOLAR MODES - MACRO, MICRO, and STANDARD
    - The macro bipolar mode provides gentle bipolar coagulation to prevent adhesion and carbonization of tissue tips. - The micro bipolar mode provides precise bipolar coagulation. - The standard bipolar mode provides power for regular bipolar coagulation. PRESETS
The surgeon can store 10 custom RF presets for easy recall of frequently used settings.
RETURN ELECTRODE SENSING AND CONTACT QUALITY MONITORING
The IDS-210 is equipped with a return electrode contact quality monitoring system (Bovie NEM™). This system determines the type of return electrode: solid or split. The system also continuously monitors the quality of contact between the patient and the split return electrode (recommended). This feature is designed to minimize patient burns at the contact point with the return electrode. FDSF™ (Fast Digital Feedback System) The FDSF™ system measures voltage and current at a frequency of 5,000 times per second and immediately adjusts power according to varying impedance during the electrosurgical procedure. The device's digital technology senses and responds to changes in tissue density. Unlike analog, this feature reduces the need for manual power adjustment when tissue impedance changes.
THREE CONNECTION PORTS FOR ADDITIONAL DEVICES ON THE FRONT PANEL AND TWO PORTS FOR FOOT SWITCH CONNECTIONS ON THE BACK PANEL
These ports can connect the most advanced monopolar and bipolar instruments. Monopolar port 1 accepts a standard 3-contact monopolar connector or adapter (A1255A) for foot-controlled accessories. Monopolar port 2 accepts a standard 3-contact monopolar connector for connecting standard monopolar accessories to the generator. The front panel also allows for connecting standard bipolar accessories. A monopolar foot switch connector on the back panel can connect a Bovie® monopolar foot switch (BV-1253B). A bipolar foot switch connector on the back panel can connect a Bovie® bipolar foot switch (BV-1254B).

Main areas of medicine:

General surgery: performing open surgical interventions on the organs of the abdominal cavity, soft tissues, etc.

Laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery: thanks to specialized modes and precise energy control, the device is ideal for safe operation in confined spaces (endoscopy, laparoscopy).

Gynecology: open and endoscopic surgeries, conization of the cervix, removal of neoplasms.

Otorhinolaryngology (ENT): tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, microsurgical interventions on the larynx and nasal cavity.

Plastic and reconstructive surgery: delicate procedures requiring minimal thermal damage to surrounding tissues (thanks to FDFS™ tissue recognition technology).

Urology: transurethral resections (TUR), surgeries on the kidneys and bladder.

Orthopedics and traumatology: arthroscopic interventions, surgeries on bones and joints.

Dermatology and cosmetology: removal of benign and malignant skin neoplasms (papillomas, warts, nevi).

Maxillofacial surgery and dentistry: surgical interventions in the oral cavity and on the face.

Types of performed manipulations:

Monopolar cutting: pure tissue dissection (Pure Cut) and cutting with simultaneous coagulation (Blend) to reduce blood loss.

Monopolar coagulation: contact (Pinpoint/Desiccation) and non-contact (Fulguration/Spray) coagulation for stopping capillary and venous bleeding over large areas.

Bipolar coagulation: precise and safe hemostasis with minimal heat spread to adjacent areas (especially important in neurosurgical or delicate interventions).

Economic efficiency: Premium equipment characteristics for the operating room at a significantly more advantageous price.

Unprecedented reliability: The manufacturer provides a 4-year standard warranty, confirming durability and high assembly quality.

Safety (Self-test): Built-in self-testing circuits of the device ensure readiness and safety before each operation.
