Bovie Loop Electrode is a specialized tool for electrosurgical excision of tissues. It is widely used in gynecology (for example, for the LEEP/LLETZ procedure - loop electrosurgical excision of the cervix), as well as in dermatology for excising papillomas, nevi, and other formations. The thin wire loop allows for a clean, even cut of the tissue sample for further histological examination, while simultaneously coagulating the vessels at the edges of the wound.
