Atlas Junior is a realistic manikin from 3B Scientific for ALS training, representing a 5-year-old child. The manikin is approximately 110 cm long and is equipped with an intubated head, a chest for performing CPR, arms for intravenous (IV) injections, and legs for intraosseous (IO) and intramuscular (IM) injections. The unique chest design allows for realistic compressions during CPR. The manikin's airways are anatomically realistic, including the tongue, nasopharynx, oropharynx, epiglottis, vallecular recess, vocal cords, esophagus, trachea, thyroid cartilages, and lungs.
The Atlas Junior manikin supports the innovative REALITi 360 system for integration with training devices. Feedback on CPR (both compressions and ventilations) is sent directly to the REALITi 360 system. This allows training institutions to monitor pulse, adapting training according to AHA/ERC standards.
Features of Atlas Junior:
- Airway management: realistic airways, intubation (oral and nasal), compatibility with various devices (OPA, NPA, iGel, LMA), bag-mask ventilation (BVM).
- Ventilation: realistic chest movements, EtCO2 and SpO2* waves.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR): detection of hand position, chest compressions, real feedback on CPR quality*.
- Cardiology: AED or manual defibrillation simulation, 12-lead ECG, vital signs monitoring, treatment of over 70 arrhythmias.
- Circulation: IV, IO, IM sites for injections, blood pressure, pulse, carotid pulse, variable pulse rate and strength.
- Neurology: pupil assessment (normal/constricted/dilated).
Atlas Junior supports three options of the REALITi 360 system:
- REALITi Go – for basic training with 6 general screens.
- REALITi Plus – with an additional premium monitor or defibrillator screen.
- REALITi Pro – for advanced training with 5 premium screens and video debriefing.
Atlas Junior and REALITi 360 provide a comprehensive training solution for ALS, optimizing training algorithms for medical teams without the use of real devices or complex setups.
