Obstetric simulation to enhance training effects:
The 3B Scientific® P90 BASIC Birthing Simulator has been developed for training skills during normal deliveries, complicated deliveries, and emergency obstetric situations. Obstetric simulation has proven successful in improving training in delivery skills, adherence to protocols, and response in emergency situations.
Assessment and manipulation of fetal positions:
Complications during delivery are generally less likely if abnormal fetal position or presentation can be detected before the onset of labor. When the fetus is not in a normal position (facing backward, head-first presentation), appropriate measures must be taken to assist complicated deliveries through manual maneuvers. Additionally, medical personnel must be trained on when and how to apply emergency obstetric interventions (e.g., cesarean section).
