The Life/form® spinal injection simulator is a valuable training tool that allows for realistic demonstration and practice of all spinal injection techniques.
Spinal injection techniques include:
- Spinal anesthesia
- Spinal puncture (lumbar puncture)
- Epidural analgesia
- Caudal analgesia
- Sacral nerve block
- Blockade of sympathetic nerves in the lumbar region
Accurate anatomical reproduction provides the correct resistance during needle puncture and clear landmarks for palpation. The replaceable skin can be changed without tools in a few minutes. The spinal column can be filled with fluid and positioned sitting or laterally for injection practice.
Segments of the spine L1 and L2 are clearly visible. The functional part of the model includes vertebrae L3–L5, as well as the sacrum and coccyx.
