LiNA McCartney Tube™ (Transvaginal Tube) is a sterile single-use instrument designed for performing total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) without the use of a uterine manipulator.

The main goal of this device is to ensure patient safety, improve visualization, and simplify the removal of the uterus while avoiding manipulation of the tumor, which is critically important to prevent the spread of malignant cells (metastasis).

The main goal of this device is to ensure patient safety, improve visualization, and simplify the removal of the uterus while avoiding manipulation of the tumor, which is critically important to prevent the spread of malignant cells (metastasis).

The LiNA McCartney Tube™ is inserted transvaginally and serves as a "template" and protective barrier during the procedure. It allows the surgeon to clearly see the boundaries of the cervix and safely perform colpotomy (vaginal incision).

Without a manipulator: Unlike traditional methods, this device does not screw into the uterus and does not damage its tissues, which aligns with current recommendations (ESGE-SERGS, ESGO) for minimizing uterine manipulation in cervical and endometrial cancer.

Sealing: The silicone construction of the tube tightly adheres to the walls of the vagina, maintaining pneumoperitoneum (gas pressure in the abdominal cavity) even after vaginal incision.

Instrument channel: Equipped with a special cap with valves (5 mm and 10 mm), allowing the introduction of needles, sutures, or other instruments without gas loss.

Oncological safety — Reduces the risk of tumor cell spread as it does not disrupt the integrity of the uterus and the tumor (no uterine manipulation).
Visualization and protection — Serves as a clear template for separating the bladder and performing colpotomy. Protects the ureters from injury by displacing them from the surgical area.
Energy resistance — The tip of the tube is made from a material resistant to electro-surgical and ultrasound instruments (e.g., scalpels).
Specimen removal — Acts as a convenient conduit for the rapid and safe extraction of the uterus or myomatous nodes.
Closure of the dome — Provides convenient access for laparoscopic closure of the vaginal dome after the removal of the uterus.
Sizes — Available in two sizes to match the anatomical features of the patient and for atraumatic insertion.
